Obituary of Helen Leona Monaghan

Helen Monaghan of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the age of 84 years. Helen was born in Lethbridge, AB on October 2, 1922. On March 31, 1940 she married John Edward Monaghan and celebrated forty-eight wonderful years together before his passing on May 3, 1988. Helen devoted her life to her family and was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Helen enjoyed a career of over twenty years with Canada Post where she made many friends. Helen is survived by her eight children: Jeanette James of Calgary, AB, Charlotte Williams of Maple Creek, SK, Marlene Doyle of Salmon Arm, BC, John and Shannon Monaghan of Calgary, AB; Susie Ward of Calgary, AB, Sharon and Rick Spring of Kelowna, BC, Diana and Bobby Baber of Canmore, AB, Corrina Monaghan of Calgary, AB; fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by her husband John Edward in 1988 and her son-in-law John Doyle in 2006.
