Obituary of Vannina Carmela Bruno

Vannina Bruno passed away on September 9, 2007 at the age of 89 years. Vannina was predeceased by her beloved husband Antonio in 1987. She is survived by her children and their spouses – Giovanni and Franca Bruno, Chiara (Claire) and Giovanni Pagnucco, and Mirella and Murray Montgomery, by her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, and by several members of her extended family in Canada and Italy. Vannina was born in Domanico, Cosenza, Italy and had resided in Calgary since 1961. She was a caring and loving person whom we were fortunate to have known, and her devotion to her family and friends was extraordinary. Her passing leaves a large void in our lives, and she will be eternally loved and never forgotten. A private family service was held in accordance with her wishes, with internment at St. Mary’s cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial mass at Our Lady of Grace English and Italian Church on Saturday October 6 at 7 PM.
