Obituary of Douglas Graham Jenkins

JENKINS – Douglas Graham February 6, 1950 – September 3, 2007 Doug Jenkins of Cochrane passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Monday, September 3, 2007 at the age of 57 years following a courageous battle with cancer. Doug was born in Calgary and spent thirty-five years as a tail wheel and aerobatic instructor. He served four years as president of the Alberta Aerobatic Club. Doug was a member of COPA, the Aerobatic Club of Canada, and the International Aerobatic Club, for which he was a certified Regional Judge. Doug was a “car guy” and owned several classic cars, and participated in many “show and shines”. Hockey was his favourite sport, and he played with the Monteray Old Timers for the past twenty years. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and students. Doug is survived by his loving parents Joyce of Calgary and Bob of High River; his brother and sister-in-law Rick and Penny; and his cousins Pamela, Mike and Sarah-Jane Stevenson, all of Calgary. Doug leaves behind his dearly loved friend and caregiver Lynda.
