Obituary of Raymond George Trottier

Ray Trottier, beloved husband of Ruth Trottier of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the age of 75 years. Ray was born in Laurier, MB on September 11, 1931. The family moved from Manitoba to British Columbia in 1945 and then to Calgary residing in the Bowness area in 1946. He was a licensed mechanic specializing in electrical tune up work. Later he repaired equipment for the Calgary Fire Department eventually servicing the oxygen equipment for the Fire Department and the ambulance division. Ray retired in 1984. He loved to go hunting especially big game, as well as camping and travelling. He was very talented in fixing and repairing things – a real life “Mr. Fix It”. Ray is lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-three years Ruth; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Stephen Wilson and Darlene and Rob Harris; son and daughter-in-law Roy and Midge Trottier; granddaughters, Jessica, Mariah and Danielle; two sisters, Delphine Meredith and Lorraine Perry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his parents George and Florence and his brothers Joe and Rene.
