Obituary of William Dick

Bill of Calgary passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the age of 83 years. Bill was born on January 29, 1924 in Smoky Lake, AB. He graduated from Queen’s University in 1946 with a degree in Mining Engineering. After graduation Bill worked in various gold and copper mines in Ontario, Quebec, and NWT. Later he obtained a teaching Certificate and taught High School for one year in Simcoe, ON. Subsequently he acquired a Chartered Accountants designation and was employed as an Auditor for seventeen years with Revenue Canada in Edmonton, AB, retiring in 1992. Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. Bill is survived by his three brothers and two sisters-in-law John, Arnold and Barbara, all of Calgary, and Eugene and Twinkie, of Lethbridge, AB; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Doris Dick and a sister-in-law Dorothy Dick. A Private Family Service will be held with interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Edmonton on Friday, September 7, 2007. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
