Obituary of Carol Frances Thorne

Carol Thorne, beloved wife of Gordon of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the age of 71 years after a lengthy illness. Carol was born in Windsor, ON, on December 28, 1935. In 1957 she married Gordon and together they shared almost fifty years together. Carol balanced her work schedule as a sales clerk with the role of devoted mother. The birth of her grandchildren was one of the happiest times of her life. Carol loved music, pettie point and most of all her family. Besides her loving husband, Carol is also survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Dave and Cinda of Leduc, AB, Dan and Val of Kelowna, BC; her daughter Deanna of Kamloops, BC; and her four grandchildren, Jennifer, Kayla, Brianna and Jenna. She is also survived by her twin sister Catherine of Massachusetts; and her sister Christine of Calgary, AB. Carol was predeceased by her mother and father.
