Obituary of Bridget Theresa Valles

Bridget Valles passed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Mum and Dad immigrated to Canada in 1961 and over the years welcomed and encouraged numerous newcomers and family members. The Christmas cards came from everywhere! She loved to entertain, enjoyed all her travels, was a fabulous cook and was an active member of her church community in Montreal, then in Calgary until her health declined. Over the last decade, she gained strength through her Christian faith and her own personal angel, my Dad. She taught me to sew a straight line, a love of shoes and to always do my best. Her one regret was that I did not inherit her culinary skills gene! She was so proud of Tyler and Kendra and the fine human beings that they are. In honour of my Mum, hug someone you love today. Besides her devoted husband of fifty-two years, Hector, Bridget is survived by her daughter Gail Williamson; her grandchildren Tyler and Kendra; and her siblings and extended family throughout Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
