Obituary of Willard MacDonald

Willard Kenneth MacDonald of Calgary passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, August 27, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Willard was born in Saskatoon, SK on February 14, 1922. He served in the Army, Signal Corps and served overseas in England, France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #275. Willard served as President of the Vancouver Branch # 79 in 1954. He married his wife Jean on June 5, 1945 and they had fifty-seven wonderful years together before she passed away on September 5, 2002. Willard will be sadly missed by all and will be held in his family’s hearts forever. He is survived by a son Ken; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Larry Hammel and Donna and Arthur Wieckowski; and five grandchildren, Jaime MacDonald and Scott MacDonald (Alyson Baran), Dean and Stacy Hammel, and Michael Wieckowski.
