Obituary of Agnes Thomson
Agnes Thomson, late of Arbour Lake Senior’s Retirement Centre, of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at the age of 84 years.
Agnes was a dedicated family studies teacher. She was an avid traveler and a lover of mysteries. Agnes had a life long passion for animals and also enjoyed needlepoint and reading. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she volunteered and sang in the choir. She was also a hospital volunteer. Agnes was a much loved mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed by all. After thirty years of being apart from her beloved husband Ian, Agnes has now joined him.
Agnes is the wife of the late Squadron Leader Ian G. Thomson; mother of Bryan, Margaret and Douglas (Susan); grandmother of Rebecca and Emily Leong, Andrew and Ian Thomson; sister of John Maus, Elizabeth Maus, the late Douglas Maus, the late Margaret Bond, Jean McGugan, Donald Maus, Hugh Maus and the late Frances Maus. She is the daughter of the late Elizabeth and the late Jairus Maus.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North), Calgary, AB on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Ian Gray, Presider. Interment of cremated remains will take place on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ayr Cemetery, Ayr, ON.
