Obituary of James Richard Reynolds

James (Jim) Richard Reynolds, beloved husband of Lorraine, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2007 in Singapore with his family by his side at the age of 59 years. Jim was born June 4, 1948 in Ottawa, ON. He was one of three children and was the only son of Les and Lil Reynolds. Jim was a geologist by profession, beginning his career in Calgary. In 1983 Jim, with his family move to Jakarta, Indonesia where he was employed until his passing. Lorraine and Les were Jim’s source of inspiration and support. He loved family get togethers, a good cigar and a good book, a good joke, having coffee on the deck in the morning, a few beers with his friends and he loved his Cherry Blossom bar. He was a very simple person and didn’t like a lot of fuss. Recently Jim told his son, Les, “I’ve got the best of two worlds. I love getting up in the morning and going to work. I love doing geology. I’ve got the option to choose how long and how much I want to work. What more can I ask for?” We love you Jim, rest in peace. Besides his loving wife Lorraine, Jim is survived by his son Les; and two sisters, Geraldine and Debbie and many brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Les and Lil and brother-in-law Robert McDougall, and in-laws Larry and Ethel Doetzel and brother-in-law Mel Doetzel.
