Obituary of Velma Huene

Velma (Val) Huene (nee Wilson), beloved wife of Leo Huene of Calgary, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Besides her loving husband, Leo, Val is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Victor Klementis, Marilyn (formerly Lillejord) and Douglas Battaglia, and Beverly and David Rogan, all of Calgary; six grandchildren, Nicole (Brad) and Chris (Jenny) Klementis, Michael (Becky) and Steven (Jennifer) Lillejord, Heather (Martin) and Brad (Haley) Rogan; and two great-grandchildren, Dawson and Kaylee Lillejord. A Celebration of Val’s life was held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service followed at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
