Obituary of Dilys Jacqueline Ada Robinson

Dilys “Jacqueline” Ada Robinson, beloved wife of Vincent Robinson, passed away on Friday August 17, 2007 after a lengthy illness at the age of 85 years. Born in Vancouver on December 3, 1921, Jacquie lived her whole married life on their ranch west of Calgary. Jacqueline’s husband and family were always the centre of her life. She was genuinely interested and active in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was a loving, positive, vibrant, intellectual, artistic and musical person who loved social gatherings and being with her friends. Jacqueline worked beside her husband in the ranching business her whole married life. She took pride in being a good neighbour and friend, and would always welcome people into their home with warmth and enthusiasm. Jacqueline was a member of the Cochrane Art Club, Bragg Creek Artisans, Bragg Creek Snowbirds, the Progressive Conservative Association, and St. Stephen’s Anglican Church. She is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Dilys and Mike Hawes and Mary Ellen and Alan Young; by her dear grandchildren, Heather Ramsay-Conaboy (Sean), Rhonda Gervais (Steve), Jessica Young and Logan Young and a great grandson Matthew Vincent Conaboy. Jacqueline was predeceased by her husband Vincent in 1998, her mother Dilys Trusler, and father Stuart Trusler. Funeral Services will be held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church (1121 – 14th Avenue S.W.) on Friday, August, 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
