Obituary of Garth Johnson

Garth Johnson, beloved husband of Miriam of Calgary, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the age of 72 years. Garth was born in The Pas, MB on July 13, 1935. In Grade 11 he moved to Red Deer, AB with his parents. Here he met the love of his life, Miriam, with whom he spent the next fifty years of his life. Garth served as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force for seven years. He then attended SAIT and began his lifelong career with Imperial Oil. After retirement his office became the Cottonwood Golf Course where he enjoyed the company of his golfing buddies. His greatest joy was his seven grandchildren who he loved dearly and who will greatly miss him. Besides his loving wife, Miriam, Garth leaves to mourn his three sons and daughters-in-law Bradley and Kathy, Craig and Lynn, Blair; his daughter Shari; and his seven grandchildren, Darren, Brett, Kyley, Brock, Zack, Connor and Jessica.
