Obituary of James Emmett MacQuarrie
James Emmett MacQuarrie, of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2007 after a lengthy illness at the age of 69 years.
James was born on September 13, 1937 in Charlottetown, PEI. James served his country for twenty-five years, retiring in 1978. He enjoyed his retirement playing bridge, going to the legion to visit with friends. He had a passion for thoroughbred horses and loved going to the races. James was a family oriented man who took great pride in their accomplishments. He is survived by his loving children and step-children, several grandchildren, step-grandchildren one great-grandchild, as well as many family members in the Maritimes.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church (7624 ? 39th Avenue N.W.) on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place beside his late wife Lorraine at Mountain View Memorial Gardens on Friday, August 17, 2007.
