Obituary of Joanna Arancio

Giovanna “Joanna” Arancio of Calgary passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the age of 83 years. She was a strong person who endured many medical set backs in her life, yet she always remained positive. Giovanna was a very attentive caring wife, mother and nonna who loved to spend time cooking and feeding her family. Giovanna is survived by her son Rico, four daughters and three sons-in-law, Lina and Serafino Scarpino, Mary Priolo, Eva and Darrel White and Adela and Dave Shapka. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Lisa (Gordon) Choquette, Mario and Michael Arancio, Vincenzo and Ermelinda Scarpino, Louis (Nicole), Gina (Andrew) Priolo, Taven and Joanna White. Giovanna was predeceased by Mario, her loving husband of fifty-one years in 2000.
