Obituary of Richard John Gray
Richard (Rick) John Gray, beloved husband and soulmate of Pam Gray of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the age of 66 years.
Rick was born June 21, 1941 in Ottawa, ON, and moved to Calgary with his parents and older brother in 1949. He attended Queen Elizabeth High School. Following graduation he pursued his hobby of photography. Rick married Pam on September 6, 1975 in Calgary. Rick was employed for several years with the oil and gas industry in Calgary and Houston with Gulf Canada, Western Geophysical and retired from Amoco Canada in 1999. Besides enjoying the outdoors, hiking and cross country skiing, and his love for wildlife and nature, Rick was an avid reader. He was a truly proud and patriotic Canadian as evidenced by the Canadian flag being flown at his residence throughout the year.
Rick is survived by his loving wife Pam, his children, Rick Gray Jr. of Victoria, BC, Kathleen Gray of Victoria, BC and Erin Gray of Calgary, three grandchildren, Scott, Samantha and Sylvery. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Dorothy Gray and his brother Bob Gray.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
