Obituary of Margaret Anne Rothwell

Margaret Anne Rothwell (Nana), beloved wife of James Rothwell of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the age of 66 years. Margaret was born in London, England on October 10, 1940. She resided in North London until she met and married James Rothwell in the early 1990’s. Together, they then immigrated to Calgary in September 1992. Margaret had two especially great achievements that she was very proud of – she catered to the Queen on her Royal Visit to Calgary in 2005 and she raised two wonderful children and two grandchildren. Margaret was very well-travelled and her favourite destination was Hawaii. She loved spending time with her family and was very passionate about her twelve-year long career at Stampede Park catering. Besides her loving husband James, Margaret is survived by her daughter Karen Bush; son Robert Marieacher; four grandchildren, Vicky Parchman and Louise Daly, both of Calgary, Gemma Bush and Hadley Bush, both of Mountain Ash, Wales; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail Parchman of Calgary and Zoey Bush of Mountain Ash, Wales. She was predeceased by her mother Winifred Riley; and brother Bill Riley. A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, August 10, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow in “Holy Family Cemetery” at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
