Obituary of Alice Otke

Alice Otke of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on August 1, 2007 at the age of 82 years. Alice loved her family. Nothing pleased her more than being with her grandchildren. Anyone who knew Alice will always remember her for the way she genuinely cared about people, her wonderful sense of humour, and her knack for making friends easily. When she wasn’t able to be with her family Alice loved to travel and to shop. She is in good hands with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Otke who died February 2, 1998. She is survived by her son Neil and his wife, Kari Otke, (Thunder Bay, ON), and her grandchildren, Zachary, Nathan, and Erin; her daughter Lisa and her husband, Tim Ulmer, (Calgary, AB), and her grandchildren, Hannah, Benjamin, and Lily-ann. She leaves to mourn sister Edna Hewitt (Winnipeg, MB) and brother Bud and his wife, Betty Strom (Fort Frances, ON). Funeral services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 243209 Garden Road NE, Calgary, AB on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 1:15 until 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Sherwood Park, AB on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prince of Peace Manor (285030 Luther Rose Blvd NE, Calgary, Alberta T1X 1M9) or Street Reach Ministries c/o the Lutheran Community Care Center (245B Bay Street Thunder Bay, ON.
