Obituary of Weldon James Baskin

Weldon James Baskin, of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the age of 50 years. Weldon was born on April 10, 1957 in Ormstown, Chateauguay, Quebec. He moved to Calgary in his mid-twenties, graduated from SAIT and worked as a high-precision machinist in the oil patch. Weldon had many passions in his life, and especially enjoyed being around his horses and pets. He appreciated a wide range of music, particularly jazz and blues. Weldon’s family was of the utmost importance to him. He had a great love for Susan and Bridget and was never happier than when he was relaxing with them. We will miss him. Besides his loving wife Susan and cherished daughter Bridget, Weldon is survived by his brothers, Robert Baskin of St. Timothee, PQ and Danny Baskin of Kitchener-Waterloo, ON; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Alberta Jean Reid and Calvin George Baskin.
