Obituary of Low Horn

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Low Horn who has gone home to our Lord on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at the age of 60 years. Larry was born and raised on the Siksika Nation. He attended the Old Sun Residential School. He was involved in numerous events such as, boxing where he was the Alberta Champion and Golden Gloves Champion. Larry was also into bull riding and bronco busting. He worked as a ranch hand for Clifford Many Guns. Larry was a gentle and hard working man. Larry is survived by his stepfather John Red Gun; brothers, Harold (Emma), Adrian (Elizabeth), Jonathan (Claudia), Keith (Melanie); sisters, Dolly (Morris), Donna, Priscilla, Ina, Roxanna (Stanley), Joyce, Jaylene (Randy), Marvine (Larry), Albertine (Sid), Rebecca, Sandy (Hubert), and Faye; aunts, Vera, Rachel (George), Grace (Rennie); adopted father and mother Clifford and Rosalyn Many Guns; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his father and stepmother Moses and Annie Maguire, maternal mother Hilda Red Gun, grandmother Albertine Low Horn, his uncles, Hubert, Garry and Terry Low Horn, and his brothers, Charles (Sonny) Royal, Casey Maguire and Calvert Red Gun. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Roxanna Black (Siksika Nation, AB) on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Little Chicago Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
