Obituary of Big Plume-Mistaken Chief
It is with deep sadness we announce the loss of our daughter, sister, friend Sky Dove Big Plume-Mistaken Chief on Thursday July 26, 2007.
“Sky Dove my love who comes from above” was born at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary and just two days after her birth, wrapped tightly in her moss bag, was taken to her very first powwow on the Tsuu Tina nation. Held tightly in her father’s arms, he let his daughter experience the beat of the drums and rhythm of the dance in her heart. Sky Dove loved her culture and honored it by dancing fancy shawl which lead to her crowning of Junior Indian Princess in 1996. Sky enjoyed singing to her friends, cooking for her family and greatly enjoyed being an auntie.
