Obituary of Leslie Erickson
Leslie Gustaf (Les) Erickson beloved husband of Jean of Calgary, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the age of 84 years.
Les was born on July 8, 1923 in Calumet, AB and was a long time Calgary resident who worked for Howie Construction. He then worked for twenty-five years at the University of Calgary in the Maintenance Department. During his free time Les enjoyed camping, fishing and square dancing. Les and Jean participated as square dancers in the opening ceremonies in the 1988 Calgary Olympics.
Besides his loving wife of fifty-nine years Jean Louise Erickson, Les will be remembered by his sons and daughter-in-law, Keith, and Randy and Josephine; daughter Nancy; and four grandchildren, Steven, Freya, Brandon and Brenda. He is also survived by two brothers, two sisters and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, July 30, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Special thanks to the staff of Unit 72 at the Foothills Medical Centre for their exemplary care.
