Obituary of Charles Henry Humber

Charles (Chuck) Humber of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at the age of 97 years after suffering complications from hip surgery. Chuck was born in Red Deer, AB. He ran the family jewellery store until serving in Europe from 1939-1945 as a Major with the Canadian Army Tank Brigade. From 1960 Chuck worked as a business manager for an architectural firm until his retirement in 1975. Chuck and his wife Laura traveled extensively in their motor home and wintered in Mesa Arizona until 1994. Chuck leaves behind a family who loved him very much; daughter and son-in-law Anne and Peter Taylor; sons and daughters-in-law, Allyn and Donna Mae Humber and Tom and Karen Humber; grandchildren, Scott (Kathy), Greig (Tania), Christy Taylor, Jamie and Colin Humber, Carley (Jerry) Flaws and Lindsay and Galen Humber and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
