Obituary of Margaret Christine Johnston

Margaret Christine Johnston, affectionately known as “Mar”, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Kelly and grandsons Cole and Jake, but lovingly remembered as warm, patient, kind, and a great hugger. Mar loved visiting with friends and family, playing cards, dancing, and singing. The love of her life, her husband Don, died five years ago. Her brother Ken, whom she was roommates with, died last summer. But she picked up, moved, and carried on. Her independence and inner strength has helped her cope with diabetes and horrible swelling in her legs, but this past week even her fierce will wasn’t enough to continue – but she would ask us to remember her with a smile.
