Obituary of Leonard Robert Cable
It is with great sadness that the family of Leonard Robert Cable announces his passing on Monday, July 16, 2007 at the age of 82 years, after a brief illness which he handled with grace and dignity due to his strong faith.
Leonard was a native Calgarian and served in the Airforce during the second World War. He derived great pleasure from his family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was an avid golfer all his life and at the age of eighty-one, he got his first hole in one at the annual Passion Play Tournament in Drumheller. Also at the age of eighty-one he was extremely proud that he walked all sixty kilometres at the Weekend To End Breast Cancer.
His memory will be cherished by his wife Margaret Aesie; son George; daughters, Rose (Rick) Binczak and Janice Cable; grandchildren, Christopher, Kasey, and Amanda (Mike) Cigan; great-grandson Cole; and sister Mary Trudel. His memory is also cherished by Margaret’s children, Norma, Helen, Joanne, Leonard, Ronald, Sandra, and Erna and their families. Leonard was predeceased by his first wife Donna in 1995 and his brother George.
