Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Garner

Mary Elizabeth Garner of Calgary passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Mary (Bette) was born on February 9, 1922 in Vancouver, BC. She married Joseph John Garner on August 7, 1946. They resided in many cities throughout BC and AB, as Joe worked in the oil and gas industry. Bette and Joe retired to Logan Lake, BC. Bette had a very compassionate nature. Over the years she provided a loving home for children as a foster parent. Bette also enjoyed her pet birds, and especially loved to be with her family. Bette is survived by her son David Garner, of Vancouver, BC; two daughters and sons-in-law Judy and Eldon Fell of Comox, BC and Cathy and Bob Cooper, of Fort St. John, BC; as well as her daughter-in-law Adele Garner, of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Louis and Susanne Garner, Haley Garner, Jason and Stephanie Fell, Fallon, Marli and Travis Cooper. Bette also left to mourn many great grandchildren. Bette was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2000, her son Norman in 2003, and her daughter-in-law Rosa Ho in 2001.
