Obituary of Tony Mucciacito
Antonio Domenico “Tony” Mucciacito, beloved husband of Germana Mucciacito of Calgary, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the age of 80 years.
Tony was born in San Bartolemeo, Galdo, Italy. He came to Calgary in 1954 and in 1959, after meeting the love of his life, Germana Piattelli, they were married on October 29, 1960. Tony worked for the City of Calgary for thirty-two years in the engineering department, retiring in 1989. He had a passion for fishing, making wine and spending time in his garden. Family always took first place in Tony’s life. He dedicated himself to their care and especially loved his grandchildren. Being able to play a game of cards with his family and friends brought much enjoyment.
Besides his living wife Germana, Tony is survived by his children, Frank (Shelley), Mario (Connie), David (Susan) and Anna (Jeff) Pitt, all of Calgary. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and his sister Filomena in Italy. Tony was predeceased by his brother Angelo.
