Obituary of Mile Grivicic

Mile Grivicic, beloved husband of Stefica Grivicic of Calgary, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2007 at the age of 63 years. Besides his loving wife Stefica, Mile is survived by his family, Marica and Ivica Rados, Mike Grivicic, Ana Grivicic, and Joso Grivicic, all of Calgary; and a grandson Andrija Rados. He is also survived by his mother Ana Grivicic; and siblings, Joso and Ljubica Grivicic, Marija and Mario Budisa, and Lucija and Dane Jurisic, all of Toronto, and their immediate families; many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews in Toronto, Calgary (Daniel) and Croatia. He was predeceased by his father Joso Grivicic; and brother Dane Grivicic. Mile was born the oldest of 5 children to Joso and Ana Grivicic on July 10, 1943 in Perusic, Croatia. Mile immigrated to Toronto from Croatia in 1967, and later moved to Calgary in 1981. Mile was very proud of his Croatian heritage and was involved in the Croatian Soccer team and H.S.P. where he volunteered his time in the events. He was all his life dedicated to the development of the Croatian Communities in Canada and assisting Croatian people to maintain independence. He worked for 40 years in the construction industry and took pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand to everyone. Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Marija Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church (14680 Deer Ridge Drive S.E.) on Friday, July 13, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen?s Park Cemetery.
