Obituary of Frank Schatz

Frank Schatz of Calgary, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Frank was born April 5, 1922 in Odessa, SK to Anton and Anna Schatz, moving to Calgary in 1948. Frank spent the majority of his career working for the Calgary Separate School Board, retiring in May 1984. For many years he was involved with his Parish of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, and volunteering his time in many different ways. Frank was also a long time member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank is lovingly remembered by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Ruth, James and Anne, David and Shannon; his grandchildren, Steven, Samantha, Chloe, Daniel, Katelyn and Jake; his sister Eva Hueser; his brother and two sisters-in-law John and Rose Schatz and Yvette Schatz; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe, Rev. Adam, Sister Magdalene, Ignatius and Mary, Rev. Antony and Toni; and all of the Sebastian family. Frank was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1987; his brother William; and his brothers-in-law Frank Sebastian, Rev. Carlos Sebastian and Henry Hueser. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
