Obituary of Edmund Mass

Edmund (Ed) Mass passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2007 several days short of his 82nd birthday. Ed was born in Leader, SK on July 4, 1925 and farmed in the Liebenthal area of Saskatchewan until 1962. From there he moved to Calgary, AB with his wife and family. He worked in the Precast construction industry in Calgary and the surrounding area where he made many friends until his retirement in 1981. Ed leaves to mourn his loving wife, of sixty-three years, Gertrude; his sons Ted (Brigitte), Bob (Bonnie); daughters Sandy (Larry – deceased), Karen (Jeff); nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He also leaves to mourn his sisters Francis, Pauline, Mary and Rose and many friends and relatives. Ed was predeceased by his mom (Aurora), his dad (Lawrence), brother (Joe) and sister (Margaret). Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
