Obituary of Edwina Wilkin

Be Wilkin, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the age of 77 years. “Remember, there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” This quote perfectly describes how an incredibly kind, elegant and dignified lady lived each day during the seventy-seven wonderful years she gave us. After an intense battle with cancer, Be passed away peacefully with a spirit of contentment, at her home in Calgary. Born in Amarillo, Texas, Be moved to Oregon and then on to Canada in 1953. Be is lovingly remembered and will be forever missed by: son Mike Cowan and wife Wendy McGraw; daughter Val and husband Randy Kilburn, and daughter Denny Koch; granddaughters Jenna and husband Geoff Galbraith, Jessica and husband Shawn Jardine, Melissa and husband Irvin Deck and Tracey Howard; grandsons Jacob van Munster and Matt Richard; great grandchildren Jacob, Alexander, Nathan, Kennedy, Tristan, Amanda, Olivia and Piper; Be’s long-time love Hank Cidros; and caring assistants and friends Alyson and Derek. Be was predeceased by her husband Don, her parents Lucille and Otis Clingman, brother Bo Clingman and “Miss Ellie,” Be’s beloved pet schnauzer.
