Obituary of Janet Elizabeth Bent

Janet Bent passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at the Foothills Medical Centre. Born in Halifax on October 3, 1944, she was daughter of the late James and Christina O’Connor. Proud alumna of Mount St. Vincent University, Janet will be remembered for her extraordinary thirty year career teaching science at Brebeuf Junior High School where she touched the lives of many students and faculty. She is survived and fondly remembered by husband John Lawson Bent of Calgary; son John William Bent (Elana Honcharuk) of Winnipeg; sisters Juliana Parsons of North Sydney and Karen Wickwire of Halifax; brothers James O’Connor of British Columbia, and David O’Connor of Halifax; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, whom she greatly treasured. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Thursday, July 5, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
