Obituary of Anna Kuran
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the age of 79 years.
Anna was born in the Ukraine on December 20, 1927 to Teodor and Rozalja Rondiak and immigrated to Canada in 1935. She resided in her beloved Drumheller Valley until attending Calgary Business College in 1946. After graduating, she worked at various jobs in her career. Marrying Frank, in 1951 she raised their family while helping him with their construction business. Retiring in 1989, Anna and Frank moved to Winfield B.C., returning to Calgary in March 2006. Anna was a devoted wife and mother, always full of spunk and fun who loved shopping with her “girls”. She was a lover of music, especially the violin and piano, played and enjoyed watching baseball, and loved to travel. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her ginger snaps, chocolate chip cookies and apple pie.
Anna is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Greg and Debbi Kuran; her daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Don Johnston and Cindy and Kim White and by her grandchildren, Jeffrey Johnston, Andrew, Beverly and Elizabeth Kuran, and Douglas White. She also leaves to mourn, her brothers Walter and Morley Rondiak, as well as numerous other family and friends. Anna was predeceased by her infant daughter and loving husband Frank.
