Obituary of Pauline Mary McCarthy

Pauline Mary McCarthy, of Strathmore, AB, passed away suddenly as a result of a tragic accident on Monday, June 25, 2007, at the age of 67 years. Born in London, England, Pauline came to Canada where she pursued a career in nursing with the First Nations in Northern Alberta. In 1969 she married Bernard McCarthy and resided on a farm west of Irricana. Pauline raised seven children and later continued her care-giving with Siksika Nation. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. Polly loved nature, her spirit and energy embraced everyone. Pauline is survived by her husband Bernard; and her children, Kevin John, Maureen Anne, Sean and his wife Cory, Sheila Elizabeth, Christine Marie, Shannon Kathleen, and James Daniel; and her grandchildren Kylie and Owen. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 705 – 3 Street, Strathmore, AB, on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Beiseker, AB, on Friday, June 29, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beiseker.
