Obituary of Hilda Geraldine Sargent

Hilda who was born in Calgary on June 15, 1918, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2007 at the age of 89 years, after a brief struggle with cancer. Hilda will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Judy McMurtry; grandchildren Kelly and (Rob) Carpenter, Mike and (Connie) McMurtry; great-grandchildren John and Katie McMurtry; and her best friend Glen Foster. Hilda is survived by her sister Edith Lewis of Innisfail, AB; and several nieces and nephews. Hilda was predeceased by her husband Oakley (Kelly) Sargent in 1967; and her sisters, Dorothy, Ruby, Kay and Eileen. A sunny disposition and love of laughter were two assets that endeared her to family, friends and co-workers over the years. At Hilda’s request, no formal Funeral Service will be held.
