Obituary of Ronald Edward Heavens

Ronald Edward Heavens of Calgary passed away peacefully at the Chinook Hospice on Friday, June 22, 2007 at the age of 86 years. Ronald was employed by J. H. Ashdown Hardware Company from 1947 to 1967 and then Western Canada Hardware from 1967 to 1985. He is survived by his sons, Brian (Sandra) of High River and Garry of Beiseker; grandsons, Glenn (Karin) of Calgary, John (Diane) of Calgary; and granddaughter Lori (Robyn) of St. John, NB. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren Alexa Sadleir of St. John, NB, Liam and Adrianna Heavens of Calgary; cousins, Mary Peapell of Calgary, Joan (Peter) Pelham of Kent, England; nephews, David (Mary) Shepherd of Cheshire, England, Michael and James Heavens of Langley, BC; Robert Heavens of Gibsons, BC; nieces, Valerie (Paul) Bannister of Buckinghamshire, England; and great-niece Sarah Bannister. Ronald was predeceased by his beloved wife of sixty-two years Agnes in June 2004; and brother Bern in December 2004.
