Obituary of Walter Stock

We are mourning the sudden loss of a much loved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Walter Fred Stock passed away on Friday, June 15th, 2007 at the age of 46 years. Walter was born in Olds, Alberta. In 1971, his family settled in Calgary, where Walter was raised and educated. Walter began his career in the oil and gas industry and at the age of 17 years he began working on drilling and service rigs throughout Alberta, the North West Territories and Russia. For the past several years, he worked as a Production Foreman overseeing a number of rig locations. Walter was transferred to Medicine Hat last year with Apache Canada. He loved golfing, hockey and winemaking. Walter treasured the time he spent with his family and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. Walter leaves to cherish his memory his fiancée, Karen Fraser of Medicine Hat; his two sons, Troy Stock and Bradley Stock; his parents, Walter and Sigrid Stock; his step-daughter Lisa Weller and her spouse Cesar Ponce, and his grandson Colby McCartney all of Calgary. Walter will also be lovingly remembered by his step-son Murray Weller; his sister Nancy Stock, nephews Joe Esipu and Ben Esipu, all of Calgary, his sister Linda Stock-Parnell and her husband Terry Parnell, niece Kassy Wenaas and nephew TJ Wenaas, all of Chestermere and many close friends, aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved him more than words could ever express.
