Obituary of Regina Marzetti
It is with great sorrow that the family of Regina Marzetti announce her passing on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the age of 93 years.
Regina was born in Villa Babore, Ortona, Italy on September 7, 1913. She spent her many years in Calgary as a devoted wife to her late husband Marino. .She leaves a legacy of courage, commitment, selflessness and unconditional love. Regina was the loving mother of Cecilia (Virgilio) Cupido and Milvia (Terry) Nazarko. She will be sadly missed by her five grandchildren, Tavia, Adrian, Mark (Yumi), Matthew (Alanna) and Laura (Tony). She is also survived by her four younger brothers, Tommaso (Adina), Fioravante, Rizziero and Rinaldo, sister-in-law Ilva Marzetti as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews in Italy, United States and Canada who continuously kept in touch and supported Regina these many years. She was predeceased by her husband Marino, her mother Concetta, father Gerardo and a young brother and sister.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
