Obituary of Hilda Joyce Brownless

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Joyce Brownless, who passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 surrounded by her family. Joyce grew up in Toronto where she met and married her high school sweetheart Ted. In 1950 they moved west to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry and eventually settled in Calgary. A long time Lakeview resident, Joyce, enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, hiking, walking in Glenmore Park, sitting in the sun and bird watching. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Joyce is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years Ted; son and daughter-in-law Bob and Mary; daughter Joan and grandchildren David (Aricka) and Dianne; and brother and sister-in-law Bob and Arlene Bolton. She was predeceased by her son Tony and her sisters Joan and Nancy. Funeral Services will be held at Lakeview United Church (3023 – 63rd Avenue S.W.) on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
