Obituary of Earl Anthony Wenger

Earl Anthony Wenger, beloved husband of Marina Wenger of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Monday, June 11, 2007 after a lengthy illness with Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 74 years. Earl will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marina of forty-nine years; his son, David, of Sydney, Australia, daughter Leanne (Dan) Sutherland; and two grandchildren Jarod and Julia Sutherland of Calgary, AB. Earl is also survived by his mother Gertrude Wenger, brothers Lester (Muriel), Don, and Cliff (Joyce) all of Vernon, BC; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jean (Clyde) Logan, of Phoenix, AZ, and Jack (Dianne) Messham of Estevan, SK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Earl was predeceased by his father Tony in 2001, his father-in-law, John Messham in 1971, and mother-in-law Ivy Messham in 2006. Earl was a very kind and loving person who was devoted to his family and always put them first. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and will be forever loved and remembered by all his family and many friends. Earl spent his entire career in the oil business as a Landman and has been a member of the Canadian Association Petroleum Landmen for forty years. Special thanks to Dr. Rodney Place, his Physician and Dr. Oksana Suchowersky, his Neurologist. The family also wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and entire staff of Ward 4600, Special Services, Foothills Medical Centre for the loving and tender care given to Earl during his eight weeks in the hospital. The family would also like to thank the staff of Bow View Manor Day Hospital, where Earl attended three days a week prior to being hospitalized. A Celebration of Earl’s Life will be held at St. David’s United Church (3303 Capitol Hill Crescent N.W.) on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
