Obituary of Three Suns

On Sunday, June 3, 2007, Woodrow James Three Suns joined our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Woody, as he was best known, was a very humble and generous man to each and everyone he met throughout his life. He loved his son Isaiah unconditionally. He was an accomplished musician. He loved playing string guitars, drums and a variety of other instruments, all of which he performed at various Christian gatherings. Woody was very athletic but his greatest love was his family. Woodrow leaves to cherish his memory his only precious son Isaiah “Mikey” James Three Suns; brothers and sisters Joanne Three Suns, Casey (Marion), Wesley (Sarah), Donna (Lloyd), Windsor (Melanie), Fay-Ann, , Sherry; Uncles Pius Three Suns, Levi (Gail) Many Heads, Matt (Carol) Many Heads, Jasper Many Heads Sr.; Aunties Liz (Norman) Running Rabbit, Muriel (Dan) Kirby, Emily (Clarence) Red Crow and Julia Wright; Adopted parents Mervin and June Wolf Leg who raised him since early in his life; adopted brother Sheldon (Theresa) Scalp Lock; nine nephews; six nieces; four great nieces and three great nephews. Also left to mourn his loss are many extended family; Three Suns, Big Snakes, Red Crows, Wrights, Yellow Old Woman, Own Chief, Poor Eagles, Many Bears, Many Guns, Scalp Locks, Sleigh, Good Eagles, Stimsons, Heavy Shields, Many Heads, Wolf Legs, Calf Child and Crane families; extended family from the USA, Scabby Robes, Reeve’s Little Plume and James Boy. Stones and Jefferson (Crow). Woody was predeceased by his loving parents Mike and Hazel Jane Three Suns; sister Nancy Jean; grandmas Mary Jane Three Suns and Margaret Bad Boy; auntie Margaret Three Suns; cousins Henry and Eddy Three Suns, Audrey and Lindy Crane and numerous other relatives. The family would like to apologize if we have missed anyone. Wake Services will be held at Wesley and Sarah Three Suns residence on Friday June 8, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Woody’s Life will be held at Wesley and Sarah Three Suns residence on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. In living memory of Woodrow Three Suns, a tree will be planted at Siksika Nation by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W.
