Obituary of Mildred McCreary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mildred (Millie) on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the age of 80 years. Millie will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her as a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She was a generous, kind woman who gave wise advice, had a great sense of humour and enjoyed her daily piece of chocolate. Her grandchildren and new great-grandson meant everything to her. She enjoyed watching them in their many activities and always cheered them on. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion #1 and #285. Millie is survived by daughters, Sharon and Donna (Floyd); grandchildren, Heather (Kyle), Trevor, Christopher, and Carrie; and great-grandson Liam of Calgary. She is also survived by her sister Irene of Swift Current; brother Bill (Tillie) of Medicine Hat; sister-in-law Vicky of Outlook; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Jean; husband Herb; long-time companion Bob; and brother Don. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. All attending the service please wear something blue as a tribute to our mother.
