Obituary of Gray DFC

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved Bruce B. Gray, with his loving Ann holding his hand, Friday, June 1, 2007. Born in Vancouver, Bruce joined the RAF, then RCAF at the age of 19 with Squadron No. 428 for four and a half years, making forty-nine trips over enemy territory. Bruce was the recipient of many medals, including the distinguished Flying Cross. After the war, Bruce attended law school and practiced law in Vancouver until his retirement in Calgary where he enjoyed “hobby” farming. We will miss Bruce’s sense of humour and his endearing good nature which was ongoing even during stressful health conditions. Bruce resided at the Colonel Belcher Hospital for a number of years. Bruce is survived by his wife Ann Gray; his sons and daughter-in-law, Cameron; Russell and Paula; daughter Brooke and two grandchildren Cameron and Sarah, all of Vancouver. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, John and Mattie, his wife Francis and by his brother John.
