Obituary of Dayle Smith

Dayle Smith passed away peacefully in the Agape’ Hospice on May 29, 2007 at the age of 71 after a courageous battle with brain cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Dayle touched the lives of many people and will be lovingly remembered by all. Her fondest moments were spending time with family and friends at the Shuswap cottage that her and Garry built. Dayle will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-three years, Garry Smith; their children, Shawn and Paul Freeman, Lynn and John Peacock, Rod Smith and Irene Grant-Smith and Heather Smith-Boyle and Doug Boyle; her grandchildren, Karleigh, Graham, Laurie and Mike; and two great-grandchildren Morgan and Sasha. Funeral Services will be held at Holy Cross Anglican Church (2828 – 19th Street N.W.) on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 4:30 p.m Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family wishes to express special thanks to their dearest friend Frank Van Ham, who was always there to help when needed. They would also like to thank Dayle’s sister Alice King who made her difficult journey a little easier, Dr. Lauf, and all the staff and volunteers at the Agape’ Hospice, for all their loving care and kindness in the final stages of her life.
