Obituary of Brian Dale

Brian Dale, beloved husband of Loraine of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday May 29, 2007, at the age of 70 years. Brian was born in England. He made his home in Calgary in 1963. He worked with Mobil Oil and then later Suncor. Brian’s greatest passion was soccer and he was an avid tennis player. He wintered in Arizona from 1995. Brian also devoted many hours to volunteering for Calgary Special Olympics. He was a friendly, compassionate and honest man who loved talking to people and sharing a story or a joke. Besides his loving wife Loraine, Brian will be remembered by his son Brian of Calgary; and daughter and son-in-law Gillian and Dan of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Fred and Mary of Marlboro, Massachusetts; sister-in-law Brenda of Redcar, England; brother-in-law Derek Thomas of Poole, England; and sister-in-law Maureen and Carl Hill of Calgary; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Brian was predeceased by his brother Eric and sister Hilda. A Gathering will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday June 2, 2007, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
