Obituary of Dennis Johannson
Dennis John Johannson, of Calgary, passed away on May 26, 2007, at the age of 50 years.
Dennis moved to Calgary in 1967 where he received his education and eventually his degrees in animal behaviour, geology and geophysics from the University of Calgary. He began his career as a geologist in Saudi Arabia returning to Calgary two years later where he changed careers working for Continental Doors, Shenk Architectural and later Richelieu Hardware. In his leisure time Dennis had a passion for cooking, hiking, travel, photography and swimming.
Dennis is survived by his mother, Murriel Johannson of Calgary; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Michael Bellingham nieces Gillian and Hayley Bellingham of Calgary; brother and sister-in-law Darrel and Andrea Johannson of Grand Prairie and many extended family and friends throughout Alberta and British Columbia, especially Mogens Larsen of Calgary; Gerold and Jennifer Fong and their children Nicole and Derek of Calgary and his faithful companion, Schnapps. Dennis was predeceased by his father John in 1986.
In the spirit of Dennis’ wishes a reception to celebrate his life will be held at, 4000 Sienna Park Green Village S.W., (enter off of Sienna Park Drive S.W., additional parking on street) on Saturday, June 2, 2007 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
