Obituary of Dujo Dan Birkic

Dujo Birkic beloved husband of Mira of Calgary passed away on May 4, 2007 at the age of 67 years. Dujo was born on December 2, 1939 in Medveda Croatia. In 1970 he came to Canada with his wife Mira and for many years he worked in the Construction Industry. Dujo was a very sincere and giving person who never hesitated to help others. Although he had a heart condition Dujo lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for his friends. Those who knew him will never forget his ability to satisfy even the heartiest appetite. We will always remember his light-hearted nature and his willingness to share his life experiences with others Dujo will sadly be missed by his wife Mira who will hold his memory close to her heart forever. He is also survived by many family and friends in his home country of Croatia. Dujo will also be missed by his family in Toronto, Vancouver and Vernon; by his friends in California, Germany, New York and by his family and friends in Calgary and surrounding area Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Marija Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church (14680 Deer Ridge Drive S.E.) on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
