Obituary of Beverley James

Bev passed away peacefully with his wife and sons by his side on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the age of 68 years. Bev was born in Waldeck, SK on March 29, 1939. He worked in Alberta’s oil and gas industry for most of his life and was responsible for the operation of some of Alberta’s larger sulpher recovery plants. Bev was very active throughout his life and received both his pilot’s license and his Canadian Yachting Association advanced cruising certificate. He was an avid downhill skier and was actively involved with the Ski Patrol program. He spent many vacations camping, fishing and boating with his family. Bev had a strong love and loyalty for his family and friends. He was a quick-witted intelligent man who was known to be mischievous and to tell a good joke. Bev will be remembered by his loving family, his wife Janet; sons Kevin (Alice), Bruce (Norene), Norman (Joanne) and Gary; his nine wonderful grandchildren, Dylan, Sarah, Marina, Ericka, Cassandra, Aiden, Evelyn, Tanner and Reilly. Also left to mourn are his brothers, Ralph (Marg), Howard (Irene), Gordon (Liz); his sisters, Marjorie, Ethel and Beth (Reg); sisters-in-law Lina and Faye as well as his wife’s fourteen brothers, sisters and their families.
