Obituary of Mary Lesson

Mary Lesson (Lasson) of Calgary passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the age of 99 years. Mary was born on April 8, 1908 in Hrkacs, Czechoslovakia. Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary and Arrigo Chiste, of Calgary; son-in-law Daniel Hrna Sr., of Kerrville, TX; seven grandchildren, Mary Ann (Garry) Lohuis, Arlene (Douglas) Pickel, Kim (Peter) Berzins, all of Calgary, Michele (Jon) Barrett, of Strathmore, Anna (Jerry) Smith of Colorado, Daniel Hrna Jr. and Brian Hrna, both of Houston, TX; and ten great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Adrian, Madison, Kirsten, Taylor, Stephen, Benjamin, Gabriel and John Michael. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews in Manitoba, British Columbia and Slovakia. Mary was predeceased by her husband Steve in 1984 and her daughter Velma Hrna in 1994. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Thursday, May 24, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Friday May, 25 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in St. Joseph’s Section at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
