Obituary of Ron Michalik

Ron Michalik, beloved father of John and Billy Michalik of Calgary passed away on May 13, 2007 at the age of 45 years. Ron was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 11, 1962. In 1997, he moved to Calgary with Laura-Lie and their sons. Ron worked at Place-Crete Systems for 10 years, and will be missed by many good friends there. He was especially close to Fred, Terry, Tyler, Dean, James, Richie and Gordie. Most important in his life were his sons, whom he loved with all his heart. He also enjoyed golfing. Ron is survived by his sons John and Billy, and their mother and his special friend, Laura-Lie of Calgary; mother Wanda and brother and sister-in-law Ted and Runi of Gimli, MB; and family friends Greg and Marie Nagam of Winnipeg. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, as well as his many friends in Calgary. A Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Friday, May 18, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. Graveside service to follow in Winnipeg, MB at a later date.
